For coffee at MCO, Zaza’s own site places its airport café in the hub for Gates 30–59. In Terminal C’s public arrivals area, MCO lists Barnie’s and Starbucks on Level 6. Start with a counter you can reach along your actual route, then choose the drink.
There are several coffee counters across the airport. Searching only for a brand can send you to a different terminal, level or security area. This guide identifies useful location anchors without claiming to have taste-tested or ranked the coffee.
Coffee location anchors
| Counter or area | Source-supported location | Good starting situation |
|---|---|---|
| Zaza airport café | Hub for Gates 30–59, on the brand’s location page | A passenger using that gate area |
| Barnie’s in Terminal C arrivals | Level 6, on the airport facilities page | A public-area meeting or arrival stop |
| Starbucks in Terminal C arrivals | Level 6, on the airport facilities page | A public-area coffee stop in C |
| Starbucks in public A/B facilities | Level 2 on A side; Level 1 on B side | Check which level fits your arrival or ground-transport route |
| Other A/B gate-side coffee counters | Search the specific gate area in the current map | A departing passenger already through security |
These anchors do not establish current queues, hours or stock. The airport map is the place to confirm the individual counter before walking there.
Finding Zaza without using the wrong gate directions
Zaza’s location page gives Hub Gates 30–59 for its airport café. Some older airport lists discuss other Zaza counters or describe the business only as Terminal A or Terminal B. Use the named gate hub to identify this location.
Once you have checked your route, decide whether you want a drink to carry or somewhere to sit. A café with seating may suit an unhurried stop, but a drink order still competes with your boarding timeline. We cannot verify a shortcut around today’s line, and an older review’s queue advice should not be treated as a guarantee.
For example, a departure from Gate 42 places you in Zaza’s documented 30–59 hub. A departure from Gate 85 is on the other A/B checkpoint side: choose coffee there rather than treating any Terminal B café as interchangeable. MCO’s access rules restrict screening to the departure gate area; a coffee purchase is not permission to use a different checkpoint.
Coffee when meeting an arriving passenger
Terminal C’s Level 6 arrivals counters are easier meeting points to specify than “a coffee shop in C.” Send the terminal, level, business name and public-area location. Wait until the passenger has completed the arrival tasks that apply to them before assuming they are ready to meet.
If one person lands in A/B and another is in C, choose the meeting building first. A recognizable chain name is not enough to settle the transfer. The food-before-security guide covers public meeting options in both buildings.
For a departure, complete your own check-in and baggage tasks before turning the coffee stop into a meeting. The amount of time available can change once the gate or boarding instructions are confirmed.
Buy coffee before or after screening?
A normal takeaway cup creates a different security issue from a solid pastry. TSA’s liquids rules apply at the checkpoint; buying a drink in the public terminal does not exempt it.
If you intend to finish the coffee before screening, allow time to do so without rushing. If you want a drink to take toward the gate, finding an open counter after screening can be the simpler plan. Check your airline’s boarding instructions before carrying hot drinks onboard.
The food accompanying the drink can also matter. A wrapped solid item and a large cup of yogurt are not equivalent under screening rules. See our packing guide if you want to bring breakfast from outside the gate area.
Early flights and delayed flights
Check the specific counter’s service period. A second outlet of the same brand can have different hours. Do not assume the arrival-level counter, the food-court counter and a gate-side counter all operate together.
For a delay, reassess how far you can comfortably move from the gate before ordering. Keep the flight display and boarding instructions in view, and choose a stop you can abandon or simplify if the schedule changes. Coffee is easiest to fit into the trip when it follows the route instead of creating a new one.
