Airport food courts charge airport prices for reheated everything. Ten minutes up Daetwyler Drive gets you house smoked fish dip, a grouper sandwich off the grill, hand cut steaks and a full bar — at neighborhood prices, in the room where Belle Isle and Conway locals actually eat. If the timing is right, there is live music five nights a week.

Got a layover or an early flight?

We are open every day from 11 am to 11 pm, so a lunch before a red-eye or a dinner after a delayed arrival both work. Kitchen moves fast if you tell your server you have a plane to catch — and the menu runs from quick baskets with fries and slaw to a proper 10-ounce ribeye if the delay is serious.

Getting here from MCO

About 6 miles door to door: out of the airport on Jeff Fuqua Boulevard, north on FL-436 or via the Boggy Creek exit, then left onto Daetwyler Drive — you will see the coral building with teal awnings. Rideshare runs a few dollars each way. Full directions and the map are on the contact page.

Stuck inside the terminal?

If you cannot clear security twice, MCO's own dining lives on the airport's interactive map at flymco.com — most of it is the usual chain food court fare, with a few sit-down spots before security. Our honest advice: with anything over a two-hour gap and a bag you can check, the local food outside beats the terminal every time.

We would rather you eat somewhere local than at a food court, even if it is not with us. Within a short drive of MCO you will also find Another Broken Egg Cafe (breakfast and brunch chain done well), Sunshine Diner (classic diner plates), and the Semoran Boulevard strip with every cuisine Orlando's east side cooks. What none of them have: house smoked fish dip, wild gator and live music five nights a week — that part is on Daetwyler Drive.
