For a seated breakfast at MCO, McCoy’s at the airport Hyatt publishes daily breakfast service from 7–11 a.m. For an earlier departure, choose an available counter on your gate route or check the hotel’s separate overnight menu. A flight leaving in the morning does not mean every breakfast venue will be serving before boarding.
Start with the meal format. A coffee and something ready to collect, an eggs-and-toast order and a buffet involve different amounts of time. Select the format that fits the departure process you still have to complete.
Match breakfast to your schedule
| Your situation | Breakfast approach | Question that settles the choice |
|---|---|---|
| Already near the departure gate | Ready-to-collect food in that area | Is it available without leaving the route? |
| In public A/B after 7 a.m. | McCoy’s seated breakfast if time allows | Can the order be served before you need to leave? |
| In A/B before 7 a.m. | Check the separately published overnight offer | Which items and ordering method are available now? |
| Departing from Terminal C | A café, bakery or restaurant in C | Is that particular counter accessible and serving breakfast? |
| Planning a breakfast meeting without flying | A public venue | Can everyone reach it without screening? |
This is a format comparison, not a promise that a particular queue will move quickly.
McCoy’s breakfast menu
The breakfast PDF currently linked by Hyatt includes eggs, pancakes, waffles, omelets, oatmeal and a breakfast buffet. It also lists a vegetable hash and a Caprese egg-white scramble.
The document carries a 2025 date. We checked that Hyatt still linked it on October 2, 2026; that does not make every price or dish a newly verified offer. Confirm the current menu at the restaurant.
For a group, compare the actual choices rather than assuming a buffet suits everyone. Someone who wants only coffee may prefer a café stop, while another person wants a cooked order. Ask whether everyone must choose the same breakfast format and whether the kitchen can accommodate the order in the available time.
The hotel dining page lists regular breakfast daily, 7–11 a.m., and the buffet Monday and Thursday–Sunday, also 7–11 a.m. Under that published schedule, a Tuesday breakfast plan should not assume a buffet, while a Thursday plan can ask about it. Recheck the day-specific service before a visit arranged around that format.
What if your flight is too early for seated breakfast?
Do not wait for a 7 a.m. service to open if that conflicts with reaching the gate. Plan something ready to eat earlier, or buy food after completing security when an appropriate counter is available.
McCoy’s September 2026 overnight menu covers a different service period and includes breakfast items. Confirm how to order, especially if you are not a hotel guest. It should not be confused with the later cooked-breakfast or buffet offer.
Packing a familiar solid snack is another option. Our food-through-security guide explains why a sandwich and a large yogurt or drink create different screening questions. Keep the airline’s cabin-bag rules in mind as well.
Breakfast in Terminal C
The airport’s Terminal C overview identifies Sunshine Diner, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea and Olde Hearth Bread Co. These names give you useful starting points for checking the current breakfast choices within C.
A diner, coffee counter and bakery should not be treated as the same breakfast experience. Check today’s menu and exact security location before deciding. For someone meeting an arriving passenger, a public coffee counter is more useful than a restaurant the other person cannot access.
If you are staying at the Hyatt inside A/B but departing from C, include the terminal transfer and screening in the morning plan. A comfortable hotel breakfast may fit an unhurried departure, but it is a separate activity from reaching a C gate.
Ordering without consuming the departure buffer
Set the time you need to leave for the gate before ordering. Ask about the order itself, not simply whether the restaurant is open. A menu might be available while a queue or kitchen backlog makes it unsuitable for your schedule.
Choose a fallback in the same area. If the cooked breakfast cannot fit, a ready-made item may keep the plan workable. For location details, the airport-wide food guide and coffee guide help you match the meal to your actual route.
