Two fishing buddies, a catering company and a room the neighbourhood claimed.
It started with a catering company
Our story began in 2004, when fishing buddies and business partners Jay Herrington and John Mitchell expanded their catering business, Central Florida Foodworks, and opened Fish On Fire. The catering side had been running since 1989 — the restaurant gave it a room of its own.
A gathering place
The restaurant quickly became a gathering place for area anglers and the communities of Conway and Belle Isle. Our proud staff consistently delivers fresh, fantastic seafood and Florida style cooking to everyone who joins us, for a “reel” good time. Large parties are welcome, and celebrations are often shared with others.

The kitchen still travels
Fish On Fire can cater any party, anywhere in Florida, and often in remote places where the kitchen comes to you. We cook for corporate events, sports teams and private gatherings, either here or at a location of your choosing.
Beyond the dining room
We are connected to anglers all over Florida and work closely with several outdoor sporting publications, providing recipes, preparation tips and support to the angling community. Hosting events benefiting charities like Anglers for Conservation and Give Kids The World, the Fish On Fire family does its part to make Central Florida a better place to live, work, play and visit.
