Food was soooo good!! The mahi tacos and burger were amazing and the service is super friendly
Great little local spot, known for their seafood, and a local place where there are no strangers! Everything on the menu is good, and the staff is always helpful, amazing, and knowledgeable!!! LOVE this place!
Food was good. Music was tooooo loud. We had to scream to communicate.
I love Fish on Fire. Always a great meal and the wait staff is very attentive. Great to hang out and for business lunches.
Summer is the best bartender! She made our night with her friendly attitude, great service, and delicious drinks. She was attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great experience tonight and will definitely be back to see her. Highly recommend!
I was pleasantly surprised by the much higher quality all around and proximity to the airport. The sides were home made to perfection and the redfish special perfect. The icing on the cake? Home made key lime pie!!
Good food. Music and little loud. Nice place overall.
When I say the service is over the top! We just happen to find the top restaurant with grouper. Even though they didnt have the grouper my husband wanted but they had some and Katt was so polite and direct about the unfortunate but he still got a grouper. Thank you Katt your up beat spirit added on the our day! We will be back. The food and presentation 👌 was excellent!!!
I had such a wonderful experience here. I absolutely love shrimp, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious — exactly what I was hoping for. What made my visit even more special was the kindness of everyone working here. All of the staff members were so friendly, patient, and welcoming. I’m a traveler from Taiwan visiting Florida for the first time, and their warmth made me feel comfortable and less nervous while traveling alone in a new place. I also want to sincerely apologize because I realized after leaving that I forgot to leave a tip when paying. I didn’t have a pen with me at the time and got a little confused with the process, but I truly appreciated the amazing service and would have been more than happy to leave a tip to thank the wonderful staff. Thank you for making my first trip to Florida even more memorable. I will definitely remember this place and recommend it to others. ❤️
Great variety of fresh fish and friendly staff.
Everything was good, my wife really enjoys eating there. Live music was starting when we left. My only complaint is our server did not explain that the grouper was more expensive than listed until I ordered it. I was disappointed with a $4 upcharge being explained, and ordered the mahi instead.
The burger they have with grilled cheese as the bun is absolutely delicious. I was in Florida for a week and this was the best food I had the whole time I was there!
Took the chance to stop by! It's a pretty cool place where everyone gets along. I've met a few fun people. They have pretty good food, not your typical bar food. Their catfish was good quality. Everything is fresh. Our waitress was really sweet, and handled the rush pretty well! I was quiet impressed. They also have bands playing, very enjoyable.
No grouper! However, the shrimp was awesome!
great food & personable staff. I Will go back many more times.
Great food and great service! We had a group of 11 and they were quick to accommodate us and got us food and drinks fast. The fried shrimp and the shrimp and grits are must trys!
Mahi fish tacos were 1000/10 the beans they come with were amazing also. Definitely put the hush puppy sauce on ur tacos 🤤. Food came out SO FAST and was super reasonably priced. This place is underrated.
Food was fresh and the service was great 👍 👌
I came here for lunch on a weekday. The fish sandwiches are really good, and I would definitely go back next time I have a chance!
I got lost of my layover in Orlando and just happened upon this little gem. I really like a good bartender and this place had a pair of them. Food was great, great stop. I'll see if I can find it again when I go back.
Great food with friendly staff. Would definitely go back again
First time for me. 10/10 everything we tried. Awesome service. Loved the live music. We ordered the fish dip, had some hush puppies and then our own fish and shrimp dishes and of course dessert - - Everything was perfectly made. We asked for salt and pepper, as if anything needed seasoning… I love eating at places where you don’t need to season the food! Definitely recommend this place!
Excellent food, good music, relaxing atmosphere and good service. Alligator, shrimp and fries; and bob pull pork are excellent. Root beer on point. 🐊
It was a good experience. Everybody was friendly. The van was great. The woman who sang in the band gave me a shout out because she admired my hair so it was really sweet. She had a beautiful voice. The waitress was very nice... I had Gator bites and a salad.
Very casual local bar and restaurant. Great seafood, strong drinks, and friendly locals. Chill place to watch games although the TVs are small, it's a fun hang around the bar.
Kat and Summer were very accommodating and friendly. Not to mention beautiful!sl Super funny and food was great, drinks were delicious. Will not come back unless I have kat or summer as a server!!!
Had a really great time at Fish On Fire. It’s an awesome indoor/outdoor spot, perfect for kicking back and enjoying the atmosphere. The food was really good—fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. On top of that, the beers are cheap, which is always a win. Definitely a solid place to hang out, grab a bite, and relax!
Amazing food&drinks with live music and great customer service!
Loved the Mahi, had such a great flavor and flakey. Hush puppies and garlic shrimp skewer were moist & flavorful too. Best Key lime pie. Took some boiled peanuts to go....they did not disappoint. Service was friendly. Live music was enjoyable. Glad we decided on this restaurant. Going back next week when we come back to Orlando to fly home.
Our party all had fried seafood baskets. Catfish, shrimp, etc... Everything was delicious.
We traveled from Maine to Florida for an event and looked for a place that served Gator. We found Fish on Fire and it was amazing! We had Gator for an appetizer. We all loved it! For the main course I had the grits and shrimp. Absolutely the best grits I've ever had. My boys had burgers and also said, the best burgers they've ever had! Our service was amazing . The live music set the atmosphere. I wish you all were in Maine, we'd visit every weekend! Highly recommend!
Excellent place. Perfect for drinks and good food. A typical American bar for chatting with friends. Excellent place.
Nice local spot. I had a delicious mahi sandwich with a thick filet that I could barely get my mouth around. Fairly priced too.
A Perfect Pit Stop! If you’re staying at the hotel next door, do yourself a favor and skip the room service—head straight here instead. The Highlight: The Burger I opted for the burger, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly, juicy, and flavorful. You can tell they use quality ingredients rather than just throwing something together for the convenience crowd. It’s easily one of the better burgers I’ve had in a while. Why You’ll Love It • Ultimate Convenience: Literally steps away from the hotel lobby. It’s the perfect spot if you’ve had a long day of traveling and just want a great meal without the trek. • Great Atmosphere: The vibe is welcoming and relaxed, making it a nice spot to unwind. • Quick Service: Even with a decent crowd, the food came out hot and fresh in no time
I love this place, it never disappoints. Go on a Sunday and hang out at the bar with Dixie, she’s the best.
Wow! So happy I came here. The food was excellent. I had the Parmesan stuffed shrimp appetizer and the grouper basket. The bartender Kathy was cordial and super efficient. It had a local vibe. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Our waiter was phenomenal. The food was very good. Live music was pretty good. We had a very nice dinner and relaxed.
The inside and the outside have changed quite a bit over the years but the food stays the same and it is absolutely delicious
Food was fantastic as well as the service.
We had gator tail Mahi tacos Shrimp and catfish nuggets. The shrimp were in the top five of restaurants that I went to. The service was great.
Fried shrimp basket and mahi tacos were delicious. Relaxed atmosphere with great service.
Service is fantastic. But the Food is too greasy for us. It could be just my opinion.
I was in town for training for the week and ate lunch here 4/5 days. All of the fish lunch specials that I had were delicious, although the Halibut Fish&Chips was my favorite. All of the staff were very friendly & helpful, providing recommendations for food & local beer on tap.
Great bar on the way to the air ir on the way home. Causal and relaxing. Good prices and value.
Food is GREAT bartenders are the best and vibes are all round pretty incredible. Live music too!
One of our favorite places in Orlando. Hubby says they have the best gator bits. I enjoy the cocktails and any shirmp fish on the menu. It's caual and fun to hang out for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
fantastic place to hang out and enjoy great home style cooking service with live music in front of you
Delayed at the airport, a cancelled flight, and my love wanted seafood. A Google search led us here. The food is sooooo good. Shrimp cooked to perfection. Great service and friendly staff. Plus the bread was amazing. I know where I’m sending my clients now.
Very welcoming, the food was plentiful and delicious, and the staff was friendly.
I like this place a lot. Good food, service acceptable, and good, not too loud live music.
Great grouper entree and grouper basket. The collards and red potatoes were perfect. Krinkle cut fries in the basket were darn good. The bar made a super lemon drop cocktail and they offer a variety of beers; I had a Guinness -yum. Service from Jennifer was great and really made sure you are taken care of, like home. Many eves have live music, though not last night. No matter - plenty of good music played in the bar/dining area. Lots of outdoor seating, easy to get to, just a few minutes from Disney. Highly recommend the grouper and - of course - Fish on Fire. 🙂 Oh, they offer shirt and hats merch, too!
This place is fantastic! Food was great. Service was prompt and friendly. The whole place had a local home vibe. If I lived here, I would be happy to be a regular at this place!
While at Fort wilderness Disney, I was looking for a lunch spot that wasn't fancy or fast food. Found this on TripAdvisor, saw the reviews and went. Great local restaurant, we will be back next year. PS Cold Beer!
First time here so in order to be fair l need to come back to make sure.!! So stand by.
Wanted to find a place away from the super "touristy" restaurants in the city, and when we asked a local, she recommended here. Dinner was so delicious, we didn't talk until everyone was done with their meal. And we were pleasantly surprised to find we could get boiled peanuts for an appetizer.
Great place for fun, food and drink.Service was great, food was delicious and prices fair.
Honestly upon walking in I was like oh boy what have we done. My Entire party of 9 was very Pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious from steak to seafood nobody had one complaint about the food as a matter of fact the complete opposite. The staff was so pleasant and went above and beyond to make us happy. I had mahi with collard greens and fries and I haven’t had greens as good as when my dad used to make them for me. YUM!! I don’t know if I’ll ever have the pleasure of eating here again but I hope so!!
Best ahí tuna and Greek salad I had in a long time! Bartender was on point and didn’t miss a beat. we’ll definitely come back
Nice little place. Service is good and staff friendly. Meals are reasonably priced. Live music and fun atmosphere.
It's a great spot. Everything we've had was good and priced well. The staff is on point and we've met some amazing people here. Definitely worth trying. There's also live music there most nights with really talented musicians.
The best fish you can find. Great service, great people that work there.
Food was very good, fish done nicely not overcooked. Fried dishes crisp
Perfect spot if you like that local hole-in-the-wall, good food, cold beer, family friendly, genuine waitress vibe. Fish and Shrimp were cooked well (really like that the fried shrimp were just dusted with breading vs coated) Live music was great and guests and staff were all friendly Price point was appropriate, could get out of there for $100 for a family of 4 unless you get apps and drinks.
Sarah was absolutely amazing! Very personable, warm, and inviting. I would recommend any one to ask for Sarah, she was very attentive.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Food on Fire in Orlando absolutely delivered. The venue has a fantastic fishing‑themed vibe that makes the whole place feel lively and fun the moment you walk in. Jennifer, our server, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. The food came out hot, fresh, and genuinely delicious. Every dish tasted like it was made with care. I also tried the Sweetwater 240 IPA, which paired perfectly with the meal and was a great recommendation. Overall, a memorable experience and definitely a spot I’d return to.
Perfect atmosphere for a casual meetup for food and drinks !!
Was here with family just finished a cruise and it was so nice to have some delicious HOT food that made us feel like we weren’t far from home at all. Thanks for the great time!!
Food was great. Wish they had baked potatoes available. Live music is a great touch.
Go see Miss. Kathy for the best margarita. Pick up a slice of banana cream pie if you’re cool. (;
One of my favorite restaurants when I come to Orlando. Fish On Fire has been a favorite of FlightSafety International instructors and students for as long as I've been coming here (15+ years). The go-to is the blackened fish sandwich. Very tender and juicy. On this occasion, some of the fries were a little undercooked, but that was my only complaint. Service is friendly and was reasonably fast, even during the lunch rush. Decor is Florida dive bar themed with an inside/outside bar. Jimmy Buffett would have felt at home here.
My waitress Sara went above and beyond. If you come here be sure to get her. My drinks were strong and my food was hot and delicious.
Friendly efficient service. She greeted me immediately.
Food was amazing! I had the Fatty Melt which was huge! Partner had the French Onion chicken which was delicious and she loved, and daughter had the Mahi tuna that she gobbled down. Thursday night was local music from 70s hits. All over a great time!
Great food, great service and close to the airport! Their deep fried alligator is tasty and yummy! ☺️
Came to visit Orlando from Utah. Originally from the south. This place made me feel like I was home. Stoped for here for lunchtime. The alligator tail and clam soup were amazing. We decided to go back for dinner and the sautéed shrimp was so good and drenched in spices. The staff were also amazing!
This is a well known “hole in the wall” local spot with great seafood, a laid back atmosphere and outstanding service. We will return. The location is tough to find under the beach line but once you are there, it feels like home.
Impressive smoked tuna duo! Strongly recommend!
A great place to eat if your staying near the Orlando Airport.
Great place for lunch!!! Best bar tender !!!!
We stumbled across this place and were so glad we did. The decor was so cute! Our server, Jennifer was super personable and took great care of us! The food came quickly, and tasted great. They had live music too, a great atmosphere!
Friends in from WPB for EDC so we ate out alot.
Good place. Cold beer, good food, decent prices and the staff are great. If you're lucky there'll be a band playing too. 👍
1st time visit, everyone was awesome.. food was perfect.. love the catfish nuggets
Awesome vibe and great food! I was staying in a local hotel and went here for dinner ... cool little bar/ restaurant.
Blackened mahimahi was delicious my kid loved there pulled pork sandwich
Ordered the shrimp shrimp shrimp and it was delicious. Service was great and music was playing. We will go back when we visit again.
We hosted out 30 year high school reunion a Fish on Fire and it was amazing. They had great food, outstanding service, and stellar music. I would deff host another event there again.
I had dinner at the bar last night and was absolutely blown away by the fried grouper sandwich, and even more so by my amazing bartender Kimberly. The experience couldn’t have been better. 5 Stars! Will definitely be back!
Absolutely love Fish On Fire! The atmosphere is fantastic—really cozy and inviting, and the live band playing at certain times adds such a great vibe. The food is always perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor every single visit. I’ve been here a few times, and without fail, both the food and service are consistently on point. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a great meal and a fun, lively environment! Five stars all the way!
Catfish, gator and a show! Get ya some Key lime pie too 🥧 😎
I went today for the october fest special and it was wonderful!!!
Jennifer was a lovely waitress :) Came here with the goal of getting a fried gator basket before catching my flight home and did just that! Very delicious and very Florida.
First time having gator bite 8/10 will recommend
The flounder and grouper are always a treat. Get them blackened. Live music on the weekend and a nice little dance floor.
I visited for the first time on a Thursday evening with the intension of getting a drink and an appetizer with a friend. As soon as I pulled in the smell of smokey ribs slapped me in the face. We were greated by a friendly young man right away and told it was open seating. To our surprise there was a band setting up! Turns out we picked the perfect night to drop by. Not only was a band playing live music but they had a Thursday night special; a full slab of ribs and chicken wings for $21! It came with a choice of sides and the portion was enormous. I wish the food was seasoned a little more. The atmosphere was lively. It seemed to be the hot spot for locals/ regular customers as it began to get crowded and the excitement level was rising. There is plenty of space inside, seated tables plus a full bar and a small section with purchasable merchandise. Unfortunately I could only stay long enough to listen to 2 songs. The band, Doc Fu, was on fire (no pun intended). I'll definitely be back and recommend that you stop by.
Order the peel and eat shrimp, preferably hot with extra old bay (the Virginia in me), and the Greek salad- my faves! We usually sit at the bar and always have amazing service and drinks from Jen, Kimberly, Kathy, Goat (yes that’s what they call him), and Dixie!
The food was amazing I had blacked fish and my wife a steak and both hands down was amazing
My husband and I were celebrating our seven year anniversary and we stopped there once we got to Florida to have a bite to eat. Love the atmosphere
Great seafood and service plus bands. But their excellent sandwiches deserve much better buns!
Service was great, however food was very salty.
Colton was our server & was great. Had catfish, collards, & beans & rice. It was good
Cold bottled beer. Generous Mahi cut cooked perfectly, with fries and delicious tartar sauce. Watch sports or listen to live music. Highly recommended local Orlando spot.
A work friend of my husband invited us out to dinner since he was in the area for a work trip. He told us he had a regular place he visits when he's out here and we were not disappointed! Since he travels for work, when he says he knows a place we trust him! Enjoyed the live music. They do have a kids menu available. The service has been friendly and attentive. Then of course the food, it has been delicious. The portion size is great. We've had a good experience all around with our visits.
Don’t let location or appearance deter you. The food was great, service was very attentive. Desserts were good but not great.
Great place to eat a meal. The seared tuna was very delicious!
The Critical Takes
No 4.3 is made of fives alone. A few of the recent critical reviews, unedited — busy nights and market-price surprises are the recurring themes.
My food was greasy for sure and I don't know if it was soaking in oil , margarine or butter. Not my favorite way to eat. Fish piece seemed fresh but didnt need all the additional unhealthy oils . Even my veggies seemed sauteed in oil . Not something or somewhere i would easily reccomend sorry. Music and service were perfect and drinks might have been good but i didnt try
Cute place, when it comes to food, you will get what you find in most bars. I had the SHRIMP SHRIMP SHRIMP, Not bad, had flavor. Co-workers had the fish and chips, portions enough for two people, they were stingy on the coleslaw. Took coleslaw home, that coworker gave me. They did gave live music.
Service was ok, food took kind of long, but catfish bites were dry, fries somewhat mushy. Definitely not a very good value for the money. Overall disappointing
Nice little place out of the way. Grouper was amazing! The Ribeye was a thinner cut but it had a lot of flavor.
Worst service I’ve experienced. The waitress was rude and inattentive throughout the entire visit. It took a long time to get basic service, and when she did come over, her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Definitely made the overall experience unpleasant. The food was honestly gross too. My sandwich was soggy and unappetizing. First time coming and last time as an Orlando native.
Excellent food and service! Just staying one night in Orlando but would come here regularly if a local
Atmosphere looks cool. Tables are outdated. This is a seat yourself restaurant. Our waitress was a bit slow. It was busy but not wild busy. Food is decent. Our bill for an appetizer and two entrees totaled 70ish. Food isn’t priced well.
Went with a family of 8. The mahi was good, the kids pizza was fine, the crab dip was tasty but didn't come with enough ritz crackers, steak was mediocre, the blackened shrimp was good. Overall nothing was amazing but nothing was really bad. There was a live band, which was nice if you like it, but it was too loud to hold a normal conversation with anyone at the table. Overall, glad we tried it, but would not go back again and probably wouldn't recommend it unless you get the mahi blackened or blacked shrimp.
