For food in MCO Terminal A or B, look at your gate number before the terminal letter. A and B occupy the same main building, with a public food court and four separate gate areas. A restaurant in the right terminal can still require a trip away from your gate.
This guide covers the A/B building only. If your boarding pass says Terminal C, use the Terminal C restaurant guide. The airport-wide food overview explains how the two buildings fit together.
Match your gate to the right food area
The airport’s A/B map uses these gate-area names:
| Gate number | Airport area | A/B checkpoint side | Starting point for a meal search |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–29 | Airside 1 | West, Gates 1–59 | Search this gate area rather than all of Terminal A |
| 30–59 | Airside 3 | West, Gates 1–59 | Zaza’s own location page identifies its café in this hub |
| 70–99 | Airside 4 | East, Gates 70–129 | Bahama Breeze identifies its airport restaurant here |
| 100–129 | Airside 2 | East, Gates 70–129 | McDonald’s identifies an airport location serving these gates |
| Before security | Main A/B building | Outside either checkpoint | Public food court or airport hotel dining |
The named businesses are examples supported by their own location pages, not a complete inventory or a promise that every outlet is open when you arrive. Use the current airport map for the exact storefront and operating status.
Eating before security
The main food court is useful when your group includes someone who is not flying. It also gives departing passengers a meal option before entering their gate area. The airport’s February 2026 guide shows businesses such as Firehouse Subs, Panda Express and Sbarro in the central food court; redevelopment means that dated list needs a current check.
Keep the departure process in your plan. Finishing lunch in the public building still leaves security and the journey to your gate. If you have baggage to check, resolve that first and then decide whether eating before screening fits your airline’s deadlines.
The Hyatt restaurants are another public option. They have a separate service schedule from the food court, so a hotel restaurant being open does not establish that every concession nearby is serving.
What changes after security?
Each airside has its own food selection. Once you reach the correct gate hub, look along your actual route before setting off for a business elsewhere. A ready-made meal nearby may suit a boarding deadline better than a sit-down restaurant across the building.
MCO’s transfer instructions explain transfers between gates 1–29 and 30–59, and between gates 70–99 and 100–129, while staying within the corresponding secured area. Follow the marked route and staff instructions. The airport’s Getting Around FAQ says passengers may screen only for their departure gate area. Exiting security does not grant permission to enter a different area just for a restaurant. Access to the paired airside depends on using the secured transfer route; international-arrival security conditions can change that route.
The terminal letter alone does not answer that access question. Two flights labeled Terminal B can use different checkpoint sides. That is why this page combines A and B instead of presenting two restaurant lists that repeat the same public building.
Three restaurant-location checks that prevent wasted walking
For Zaza, the brand’s location page identifies the hub at gates 30–59. Do not assume a review describing another Zaza counter is directions to this café.
For Bahama Breeze, its airport location specifies Airside 4, gates 70–99. Compare that with your own gate before choosing it for a full meal.
For McDonald’s, the Gates 100–129 page identifies a particular airport outlet. A chain name can appear more than once at an airport; hours or app ordering for one location should not be transferred to another.
When an old list disagrees with the signs
Use the current gate display, airport directory and storefront information. An older map is helpful for understanding the layout, but it cannot confirm a construction closure or today’s last order.
Before ordering, establish where you need to board, the route back, the kitchen’s availability and whether the food is ready to collect. If those details are uncertain, simplify the meal choice. The useful restaurant is the one that fits the gate area and the time you actually have.
